The Iconic Tata Sierra Returns: 2025 Launch with EV and ICE Options

Date:

TATA Sierra Returns: Tata Motors, after two years, has brought the production model of the iconic Sierra. And as expected, the SUV will be available in EV and ICE versions. Let’s take a quick look at Tata Sierra’s Auto Expo details and the equipment of the new Sierra – especially the exterior styling! After the 2023 Auto Expo, Tata Sierra has finally made another public appearance in a production-ready avatar. Kudos to Tata Motors as the brand has not made many changes from the concept model. As seen on the concept and other new-gen Tata SUVs, the Sierra gets connected LED DRLs at the front. The headlamps are placed on the lower bumpers and are all LED units. The side profile is unique as it resembles the iconic model. We all know the OG Sierra was popular for the large rear window area. However, it was a 3-door SUV back then, which made it appear more appealing. Now, Tata Motors has brought the Sierra back but in a traditional 5-door avatar. Yet, the brand has managed to offer the iconic design of the OG model. The side profile gets a two-piece window area, but the piano black elements help it appear as one single unit. Also, the blacked-out D pillars give the new Sierra a wraparound glass appearance! Other elements include connected LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a stylish roof spoiler. In terms of dimensions, the Sierra is expected to measure around 4.3 metres in length with the wheels pushed to the extreme ends.

On the inside, the Sierra gets an interior layout similar to the Safari and the Harrier. The dashboard design is very similar to the flagship Tata SUVs. However, it gets a different colour theme to match the character of the SUV. That said, the massive 12.3-inch touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and panoramic sunroof are all present! Other exciting features include Level-2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, 10-speaker JBL surround sound system, electric tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more. In addition to Level-2 ADAS, the Sierra will also get summon function and auto-park features. Tata Motors has unveiled the Sierra at the Auto Expo. The company has not mentioned the powertrain options available on the model. However, we can confirm that the Sierra will come with both FWD and AWD options. For ICE, Tata Motors could offer the Sierra with a petrol engine option. It will be made available with a 1.5-litre TGDi engine, paired with 6MT and 7DCA gearbox options.
