The newly patented device uses advanced acoustic resonance technology to identify and characterise materials. It works by inducing vibrations in the material using a V-shaped solid quartz strip with piezoelectric transducers, capturing the acoustic signals generated, and analyzing them through a machine-learning model. This approach provides a simpler, more cost-effective, and safer alternative to traditional methods like chromatography and laser emission, which often involve complex equipment and the risk of harmful radiation exposure.
